Our Story

The Wednesday Fun League

The Wednesday Fun League has brought golfers together every week since 1998, welcoming players of all skill levels for a 9-hole round at Manor Valley Golf Course in Export, Pennsylvania.

We rotate between the Front and Back Nine throughout the season, keeping every week fresh. The Stableford scoring format — combined with handicap adjustments — means a scratch golfer and a high-handicapper can compete head-to-head on genuinely fair terms.

More than just golf, the WFL is a community. Post-round you'll find most of the league at The 19th Hole for dinner, drinks, and the kind of storytelling that only happens on a Wednesday evening in western Pennsylvania.

How We Score

Stableford Scoring

Earn points on each hole based on your net score. One bad hole won't ruin your round — just pick up and move on to the next.

🎯 Handicap Makes It Fair

Your course handicap determines how many strokes you receive on the hardest holes, ranked by Stroke Index. Your net score — not gross — determines your points.

4 HC

1 stroke on SI 1–4

9 HC

1 stroke on every hole

13 HC

All holes + extra on SI 1–4

18 HC

2 strokes on all 9 holes

⏱️ Pick Up and Keep Pace

Double bogey or worse? Pick up your ball and head to the next hole — you've earned zero points on that hole regardless. Keeps pace of play fast and the round enjoyable for everyone.

🏆 Most Points Wins

The player with the highest Stableford total wins the round. Season standings track cumulative weekly points across all 20 regular weeks.

Twenty weeks of regular play across three periods, plus practice rounds, special events, the annual golf trip, and a championship to close out the year.
